In cooperation with the company Nietiedt Stahl- und Metallbau GmbH , the assembly openings on the fins and parts of the outer skin of various stabilizers were closed and welded again. Due to the material thickness (up to 25mm), the MAG welding process (136) with a rutile filler wire was chosen. All seams were then subjected to visual and, in some cases, ultrasonic testing.
